Okay, so things are going pretty well. The job is good, really boring at times, but I'm already going to meetings and have work to do, though not much. I am pretty darned bored....not lonely though, just bored. But looks like July will bring some visitors and that will be fun!
I am still not really setlled into my apartment. I unpacked the first night I moved in and then just kind of stopped. I inherited a lot of stuff from my sister that I will NEVER use, so now its just sitting in my small apartment taking up space.
I guess that's about it for now...just a quick update from the world of work!

Well a lot has happened in the past few days. The cost effective apartment I decided to lease lasted about an hour and a half. I moved out soon after moving in. The AC didn't work, no one was answering the phone to fix it, then my dad started talking to the neighbors, who expressed that the landlords dont fix anything. In addition, there was some sort of...domestic disturbance the night before that caused one dude to be taken out all bandaged up.
SO here I am at the mansion house, a lot more expensive, but I am downtown....view of the arch....stainless steal appliances, rooftop pool, etc. But instead of being in a 2 bedroom I am in a studio....which isn't bad for me but cancel having mucho visitors!!
In any case, I spent yesterday and today unpacking and all that jazz. I am not even close to done, but most of the stuff Im not actually going to be using (I inherited it from my sister's apartment). I will post pictures when I get them.
I went to the Soulard Farmer's Market today. Supposedly it's "famous" which I suppose may be true, who knows. For 6 dollars I was able to get apples, bananas, potatoes, and roma tomatoes that were DELICIOUS. However, that cheapness was soon cancelled out when I went grocery shopping and noticed a significant markup on all products.
Other than that, things are going slowly and smoothly. I start working Monday, so I will see what that is about and what my job actually is....lol, everyone keeps asking but I honestly don't know the full details. The secretary made a comment about only being in that office a couple days a week.....who knows.

Welcome!! I figure while i am away this is an easy way to update everyone in an instant. Let me know if you've got questions or anything.
I got my keys today....nothing says "welcome" like paperwork, rainy days, and constant running around in every direction. Getting lost on a short fuse is fun, too. In any case, there is a lot to see in the city and it'll be raining one second and super-sunny the next. The architecture here is amazing as well...so many different styles of houses and whatnot.
The apartment isn't that nice....but is SUPER cost effective. We're talking almost 900 sq. feet, two bedroom, living room, and huge kitchen for $550 a month. Not bad. Best part is, its in an awesome part of town.....safe, VERY safe. The other serious consideration was the apartment in the area of city known as Soulard, home to the second largest Mardi Gras celebrations next to New Orleans itself. But I found out they block out the roads, so if you're in, you're stuck, and if you're out, who knows WHAT you will do.
Everything else is coming together, I got to pick up the jeep I will be using today....a sturdy vehicle for sure. Now its just trying to get the rest of my stuff shipped up here....another headache....BUT I have what I need and realistically if I've done without it until now, I may not really need it.
